What will you do?

Laboratory Operations:

• Order laboratory supplies and maintain lab facilities and equipment.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure the lab operates efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members for smooth daily operations.

Research and Development:

• Execute experimental protocols to support R&D projects.
• Contribute to project planning, idea generation, and the development of proposals.
• Assist in preparing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Play a key role in developing and enhancing the team’s overall competence.

What do you need to succeed?

Required qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a microbiology or biotechnology laboratory, ideally within an R&D setting
• Strong expertise in wet lab techniques such as microbial culture, sterile technique, molecular biology (e.g., PCR).
• Experience with lab equipment like spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and fermenters
• Proficiency in analytical methods for characterization and quality control

Desired experiences and skills:

• Familiarity with phage propagation and optimizing conditions for bacteriophages
• Understanding of biomanufacturing, bioprocessing, or fermentation techniques
• Experience with upstream and downstream processes
• Knowledge of lab inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness
• Experience with scaling processes from bench to pilot scale
